How Do We Effectively Promote On Facebook For Free ?

There was a time all you had to do was make a Facebook event invite you friends and you were certain to have a packed house . As more and more promoters decided they would jump on that bandwagon the effectiveness of the whole thing wained. Suddenly all you friends were inundated with a ton of daily invites. The average user of Facebook has become numb to the whole thing .
Couple that with the fact Facebook itself put a stop to mass invites this past March. Businesses are hard pressed to get patrons to their major events and there are a plethora of promoters who will charge you to promote your event for a fee . Then their is Facebook itself who convince many that the only way to get to all you friends is to pay THEM . I'm not really mad at them there though. It is their platform . They should have been making money of this thing ten years before they actually rolled this out .

So the question of the day is -
How do we effectively promote events and venues to the masses ?

I suggest to most of my clients a simple and inexpensive way to utilize their actual Facebook network . Simply utilize the "share" feature on an event . The more fans and admins in the network the better. Have them to also "share" the event as well. Once the event is shared a few times you will then notice it showing up in news feeds. Before you know it a well written event spreads like a wheel rolling downhill instead of the stress of being pushed uphill.

You have a vision, a business plan , some money and you are ready right ?
Oh wait , the one thing that we don't have .... People .
Without bodies to fill the room and spend some money you are looking at a lot of investment for a whole lotta nothing .

Today the patrons that you need to fill your venue are easy to reach. Sending them the right message should be easy as putting up a banner , opening the doors , a website and maybe an add in the local paper. Unfortunately that isn't it. That may have worked in the past but today , with the amount of choices out there , your message can't be the same old thing. It needs to stand out . Capture peoples attention and have them "buy in " to your message

Millennials are the champions of social networking age . Facebook, Twitter, Bloggs,LinkedIn there are so many tools that must be utilized to make sure that they get your message.
